At Lika, we believe in providing carers with the resources they need to create transformational changes in the lives of young people.

We train all our foster carers to ensure they have the skills they need to do good work for young people in need, and over the years we’ve developed excellent training programs tailored specifically to the needs of foster carers, based on the principles of systemic family therapy.

Now, that training is available to anyone interested in fostering or social care, even if you’re not a Lika carer, because we believe every carer should have access to expert training.

At Lika, our foster carers receive the skills and training needed for the specific challenges of their care role.

As a result, we’ve developed a wide variety of training courses to help carers feel stronger and more resilient in helping young people recover from trauma. Our training and resources are based in the systemic family therapy approach to foster caring.

This training is now available to all.

We currently have a waiting list for many courses, but new dates are allocated regularly. If you’ve expressed an interest in a course, we will send you dates as soon as they become available.
